St Peter's Hospice

St Peter's is a registered charity and is Bristol's adult hospice. The hospice provides specialised care and support for patients with severe and progressive disease, usually cancer, where curative treatment is no longer possible. The hospice employs over 400 staff, which includes staff to work in the charity's 45 charity shops.

Tell us about a recent project that IHP has helped you with.

In the last 12 months IHP have been helping us to consolidate energy supplies to our charity shops. IHP's ability to talk to the right people in utility companies has been invaluable during this project.

Obviously, the lower St Peter's Hospice can keep their running costs the greater the ability to support more people.

How has central billing helped to streamline your purchasing?

Consolidation of bills is helpful and IHP often acts as an effective bridge between us and the supplier when problems arise.

What would you say to other healthcare providers that are considering becoming a member of IHP?

It is a competitive market so situations can change quickly, but we have found IHP easy to work with and on numerous occasions they have been able to find us significant savings.
